Booking Phuket boxing stadium tickets New Year week works the same way as booking any other week, with one exception that shapes most plans: both stadiums are closed on 31 December 2026, so there is no fight night on New Year’s Eve. Every other night of the holiday weeks follows the usual pattern, with Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day all on sale at both venues.
This guide sets out which holiday nights have fights, what the tickets cost, how late a booking can be made and what to check before the night. HKT sells tickets for both venues as an independent ticket vendor, and each stadium is run by its own management.
Phuket boxing stadium tickets for Christmas and New Year: what is confirmed
Fight dates are on sale online through the end of January 2027, every night at Bangla Boxing Stadium and Monday to Saturday at Patong Boxing Stadium. The holiday nights most visitors ask about fall like this, as listed on the ticket pages in October 2026.
| Night | Day | Bangla Boxing Stadium | Patong Boxing Stadium |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24 December 2026, Christmas Eve | Thursday | Fight night on sale | Fight night on sale |
| 25 December 2026, Christmas Day | Friday | Fight night on sale | Fight night on sale |
| 27 December 2026 | Sunday | Fight night on sale | Closed, as every Sunday |
| 31 December 2026, New Year’s Eve | Thursday | Closed | Closed |
| 1 January 2027, New Year’s Day | Friday | Fight night on sale | Fight night on sale |
| 3 January 2027 | Sunday | Fight night on sale | Closed, as every Sunday |
The two Sundays in the holiday weeks are the other dates to watch. Patong Boxing Stadium closes every Sunday, so a Sunday plan in late December or early January points to Bangla. Show schedules, fight cards, bout counts, and event duration are subject to change.
Booking stadium tickets for the holiday weeks
Holiday nights are priced like any other night. Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets cost 1,500 baht for Stadium and 1,900 baht for Ringside online, a discounted price 5% below what is paid at the stadium door. Patong Boxing Stadium tickets cost 1,500 baht for Stadium and 1,800 baht for Ringside, the same price online as at the door.
No seasonal price change has been announced for either stadium, and the listed prices apply to the December and January dates now on sale. Every ticket includes a free stadium T-shirt, and there are no booking, card or transfer fees on top.
There is no fixed booking window for the holiday weeks, and no night is guaranteed to stay available. The safest approach is to book once the stadium and the night are chosen. Same-day online ticket sales close at 10:00 PM Bangkok time, and sales for a night can close earlier, for example when Ringside is full.
Plans can still move after booking. Tickets are non-refundable, but a date change is possible with at least 24 hours’ notice before the fight night. If a stadium cancels a night, the ticket is refunded in full. The guides to whether Bangla tickets sell out and whether Patong tickets sell out explain booking ahead at each venue.
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day fight nights at Bangla and Patong
A holiday fight night runs on the same timetable as the rest of the year. Both Phuket boxing stadiums start their fight cards at 9:00 PM, and a typical night finishes around 11:00 PM. The card runs to about 6-12 bouts, each opening with the Wai Kru.
No special event has been announced for Christmas or New Year, and any closure or special event is announced in advance. A holiday plan is best built on a regular card rather than on the hope of a themed event.
Bangla’s MMA bouts follow the weekly pattern, appearing alongside the Muay Thai on Wednesday and Saturday cards. In the holiday weeks that places them on Saturday 26 December, Wednesday 30 December and Saturday 2 January, subject to the usual changes to fight cards.
For a group that wanted a fight on New Year’s Eve itself, the nearest options are Wednesday 30 December at either stadium or New Year’s Day at either stadium. Both keep the countdown evening free for other plans.
Holiday fight night arrival and seating
Doors open at 8:00 PM at Bangla Boxing Stadium and at 7:30 PM at Patong Boxing Stadium. Arriving by about 8:00 PM gives the best choice of seats wherever seating is first come, first served. That covers both tiers at Bangla and the Stadium tier at Patong, while Patong Ringside seats are assigned by staff.
The holiday weeks are a popular time to be on the island. The Tourism Authority of Thailand lists Phuket among the popular choices for a tropical Christmas or New Year, with resorts hosting gala dinners and beach parties, and it has described the west coast as best visited from November through April.
A festive evening is a poor time to cut the journey fine, so leaving with a margin before the doors open keeps the first bout in view. The guides to the best time to leave for Bangla Boxing Stadium and the best time to leave for Patong Boxing Stadium help with the timing. For the ride back, see the pages on late-night transport from Bangla and late-night transport from Patong.
Inside the venues, nothing changes for the holidays. Bangla Boxing Stadium is covered and cooled by fans rather than air conditioning, and purchases inside are cash only. Patong Boxing Stadium is a fully enclosed arena with air conditioning and takes cash or card inside.
Peak-season ticket checklist
A few checks cover almost every Christmas and New Year plan.
- Skip 31 December. Neither stadium holds a fight night on New Year’s Eve.
- Mind the Sundays. Patong is closed on 27 December and 3 January, while Bangla runs every night.
- Book the chosen night. The listed prices apply to holiday nights, and same-day online sales can close early.
- Keep the date flexible. A booking can move to another night if the change is requested in time.
- Check announcements. Any closure or special event is announced ahead of the night.
The guide to the best time to visit a Phuket boxing stadium covers the wider calendar, and the comparison of high season and low season at the stadiums explains what changes across the year. Thai public holidays and Buddhist holy days are covered in the holidays and festivals guide.
For Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or any holiday Sunday, Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets show every bookable night. For a Monday to Saturday plan, Patong Boxing Stadium tickets list the available dates. The Phuket boxing stadium guide compares the two venues, and the guide to buying tickets direct versus through a reseller explains what to check before paying.
