Spectators at a Phuket boxing stadium fight night, comparing a high season visit with a low season visit

The Phuket boxing stadium high season and the low season feel different on the way to the ring, but far less changes inside it than many visitors expect. Bangla Boxing Stadium holds fights every night of the week and Patong Boxing Stadium holds them Monday to Saturday, and that weekly pattern runs through both seasons. The schedule, the two seating tiers and the ticket terms stay the same whichever season a trip falls in.

What does shift is the setting around the fight night: the weather on the journey, the number of other travelers in Phuket and how much margin a plan needs. HKT sells tickets for both venues as an independent ticket vendor, and each stadium is run by its own management.

Phuket boxing stadium high season vs low season at a glance

Phuket’s visitor seasons follow the weather. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has described Phuket, Krabi and the Phi Phi Islands on the west coast as best visited from November through April, and that drier stretch is what the high season usually refers to. The same tourism body places the monsoon season from May to October in the southwest of the country, with September bearing the brunt of the rain.

Planning point High season (about November to April) Low season (about May to October)
Fight nights Every night at Bangla, Monday to Saturday at Patong The same weekly pattern
Ticket prices The listed prices The same listed prices
Seating tiers Stadium and Ringside Stadium and Ringside
Weather on the journey Drier evenings Monsoon rain, often in short, intense bursts
Main planning task Settle the night and book it Allow extra travel time on wet evenings

Neither season comes with a promise about a particular night. No current figure shows how full a given stadium night will be in any month, so the comparison here sticks to what is known: the fixed parts of the evening and the practical shifts around them.

What stays the same at both stadiums all year

The fight night itself does not follow the tourist calendar. Both Phuket boxing stadiums start their fight cards at 9:00 PM, and a typical night finishes around 11:00 PM. Doors open at 8:00 PM at Bangla Boxing Stadium and at 7:30 PM at Patong Boxing Stadium.

A card runs to about 6-12 bouts, each one opening with the Wai Kru, and on Wednesday and Saturday the Bangla card also includes MMA bouts. Show schedules, fight cards, bout counts, and event duration are subject to change.

Prices hold steady as well. Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets cost 1,500 baht for Stadium and 1,900 baht for Ringside online, a discounted price 5% below what is paid at the stadium door. Patong Boxing Stadium tickets cost 1,500 baht for Stadium and 1,800 baht for Ringside, the same price online as at the door.

Fight dates are on sale online through the end of January 2027, every night at Bangla Boxing Stadium and Monday to Saturday at Patong Boxing Stadium. No seasonal price change has been announced for either stadium, and the listed prices apply to the December and January dates now on sale. Every ticket in both tiers includes a free stadium T-shirt, with no booking, card or transfer fee on top.

Seating rules and the venues themselves stay the same too. Bangla seats both tiers on a first come, first served basis, while Patong assigns Ringside seats in advance and keeps the Stadium tier as free seating. Bangla Boxing Stadium is covered and cooled by fans rather than air conditioning, and Patong Boxing Stadium is a fully enclosed arena with air conditioning.

Phuket boxing stadium busy season: booking and arrival

In the busy season, a stadium visit shares the calendar with everything else a dry-weather trip has planned. The practical change is less about the fight night and more about leaving less to chance.

Booking once the stadium and the night are settled is the simplest safeguard. Same-day online ticket sales close at 10:00 PM Bangkok time, and sales for a night can close earlier, for example when Ringside is full. A plan that depends on buying online on the evening itself therefore carries more risk than one booked ahead.

Booking ahead does not lock a traveler into a date that stops working. Tickets are non-refundable, but a date change is possible with at least 24 hours’ notice before the fight night. Whether a particular night is likely to fill is a question for each venue, covered in the guides to whether Bangla tickets sell out and whether Patong tickets sell out.

Arrival time works the same way in every month. Arriving by about 8:00 PM gives the best choice of seats wherever seating is first come, first served. That covers both tiers at Bangla and the Stadium tier at Patong, while a Patong Ringside seat is assigned by staff and does not depend on an early arrival.

Phuket boxing stadium low season: rain and the trip to the venue

The low season brings the monsoon, and that is the main change for a stadium visit between May and October. The Tourism Authority of Thailand presents the rainy season as a shoulder travel period when destinations are less crowded, although that general picture says nothing about how full any single fight night will be.

Rain does not cancel fight nights at either stadium. Bangla’s roof and fans and Patong’s enclosed arena keep the evening going, so the practical effect of a wet night falls on the journey rather than the card. Checking the route and leaving extra time before the doors open is the main adjustment.

The guides to the best time to leave for Bangla Boxing Stadium and the best time to leave for Patong Boxing Stadium help with the timing. The monsoon season stadium guide covers rainy-month planning in detail.

The ticket terms are the same in the wet months. If the weather changes a plan, the booking can move to another night within the date-change rule rather than being cancelled.

Choosing a season and booking stadium tickets

Neither season is the better one for the fights themselves. The high season suits a trip built around dry evenings, and the low season suits travelers who are comfortable with rain on the way to the venue. The card, the tiers and the ticket price are the same either way.

For the wider calendar, including the best night of the week and arrival times, the guide to the best time to visit a Phuket boxing stadium is the place to start. Christmas and New Year fall within the high season and come with dates of their own to check, including the closure of both stadiums on 31 December 2026, which the Christmas and New Year stadium tickets guide sets out night by night.

For any evening of the week, Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets list the bookable fight nights in both tiers. For a Monday to Saturday plan, Patong Boxing Stadium tickets show the available dates.

The Phuket boxing stadium guide compares the two venues side by side, and the guide to buying tickets direct versus through a reseller explains what to check before paying in any season.
