Two fighters in the ring during an MMA bout at Bangla Boxing Stadium

The Bangla Boxing Stadium MMA night schedule is simple to remember: MMA bouts run on Wednesday and Saturday, and on those nights they sit at bout 3 and bout 6 of the card. Every other bout on those evenings, and every bout on the other five nights of the week, is Muay Thai.

That running order shapes the evening more than the date does. This guide covers which nights carry MMA, where those bouts fall in the card, when to arrive and how tickets work on an MMA night. HKT sells tickets for the venue as an independent ticket vendor, and the stadium is run by its own management.

Bangla Boxing Stadium MMA night schedule: Wednesday and Saturday

Bangla Boxing Stadium holds a fight card every night of the week. Two of those nights, Wednesday and Saturday, add MMA bouts to the Muay Thai program, which makes them the Bangla Boxing Stadium MMA nights.

The difference between the two formats is easy to spot from the seats. Mixed martial arts is a full-contact combat sport based on striking and grappling that draws on techniques from many combat sports. Muay Thai bouts each open with the Wai Kru, the ritual that honors a fighter’s teachers, before the contest begins.

On the remaining nights, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, the card is Muay Thai from start to finish. A visitor who wants only Muay Thai can choose any of those, while a visitor curious about both formats has two nights a week to pick from.

Show schedules, fight cards, bout counts, and event duration are subject to change. The regular pattern is the basis for planning, and the Bangla Boxing Stadium schedule and show times page sets out the week.

Where the MMA bouts sit on the fight card

Knowing the night is only half the plan. Knowing where the MMA falls in the evening helps decide when to arrive and how to pace the night.

Bout 3 and bout 6

On an MMA night, the MMA contests are bout 3 and bout 6 of the card. The bouts around them are Muay Thai, so the evening alternates between the two formats rather than splitting into separate halves.

A typical card runs to about 6-12 bouts. Because the MMA bouts are counted from the start of the card, both usually fall before the last part of a full card, although on a shorter card bout 6 can come near the end. A visitor who arrives late or leaves early risks missing one of them.

The mixed format also suits groups with different tastes. One friend may have come for the MMA and another for the Muay Thai, and an MMA night gives both a share of the card without anyone sitting through a whole evening of the format they care less about. Between the two MMA bouts, the Muay Thai contests keep the traditional rhythm of the evening, with the Wai Kru and the ring music setting the tone before each one.

Timing through the evening

Doors open at 8:00 PM at Bangla Boxing Stadium, and the first bout starts at 9:00 PM. A typical Bangla fight night finishes around 11:00 PM.

The exact clock time of bout 3 and bout 6 is not fixed. Each bout runs to its own length, with rounds, breaks, the Wai Kru before Muay Thai contests and any early finish all shifting the timing, so no reliable minute-by-minute schedule exists for the MMA bouts. The practical answer is to be seated before the first bout and stay through the middle of the card.

The guide to how long a Bangla fight night lasts explains the pace of a typical evening in more detail.

Arriving for an MMA fight night at Bangla

Seating at Bangla is first come, first served in both tiers, Stadium and Ringside. On an MMA night, as on any other, the earliest arrivals take the best positions.

Arriving by about 8:00 PM gives the best choice of seats in both tiers. That leaves time to find a seat, buy a drink and settle in well before the first bout, which matters on a night when the first MMA bout comes as early as bout 3.

The arena is covered and well ventilated, cooled by fans rather than air conditioning, so light clothing helps. Purchases inside the venue are cash only, which is worth sorting out before leaving for the stadium. If an MMA night falls on a major Buddhist holy day, the card still runs, but no alcohol is sold, in line with the national rule that alcohol sales may be restricted on major religious days. The guide to what time to arrive at Bangla covers the hour before the card.

Bangla MMA night tickets

Tickets for an MMA night work exactly like tickets for any other night. The same two tiers are on sale, Stadium and Ringside, and every ticket includes a free stadium T-shirt.

Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets cost 1,500 baht for Stadium and 1,900 baht for Ringside online, a discounted price 5% below what is paid at the stadium door. There are no booking, card or transfer fees on top of that price.

Choosing the night carefully matters on an MMA plan, since the format only runs twice a week. Tickets are non-refundable, but a booking can move to another night with at least 24 hours’ notice. A Wednesday booking can therefore move to the Saturday, or the other way round, if the change comes in time.

Larger groups planning an MMA night can message HKT before booking, since a group discount may be possible. The Phuket boxing stadium guide compares Bangla with Patong Boxing Stadium for anyone still choosing a venue.

For the wider choice of night, the guide to the best night of the week at Phuket boxing stadiums compares the whole week, and the guide to the best time to visit a Phuket boxing stadium covers arrival, seasons and holidays.

For a Wednesday or Saturday card, Bangla Boxing Stadium tickets can be booked in either tier at the discounted online price.
